A few of the ideas, topics, and commonplaces that have been gaining steam on arXiv during the last few months (yes, I do a lot of filtering to keep away most of the genAI stuff; explainer).
1. Ultra-high-energy cosmic rays: Some weeks ago the 39th International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC 2025) took place in Geneva. This lead to the usual bevy of papers, including many based on data from the Pierre Auger Observatory.

2. Large-scale magnetic field: Not "industrial scale" - think "astrophysical scale."

3. FRW Universe: The FRW metric is (one of the names of) one of the basic blocks of our current best guess cosmological model, namely how distances work if we assume the universe is symmetric in a number of useful and plausible (but still not fully guaranteed by the observational data) ways.
