Nostalgia

2025-05-16 Fiction

You've begun to remember with perfect clarity childhood advertisements for products that did not exist when you were a kid. Some of them are only a few months old, newer even than your neural interface. There's the inarticulate shape of a question lodged deep inside your throat. Waking up to buy something you dreamed about feels comforting but you never mention it. You haven't read anything about any of this. There are headlines your eyes glaze over. You don't talk about that either.
