If I may, I do hope their show tech receipts or at least address the gap between Utopian [in the Terra Ignota sense] ideal and policy advice - a lot of their book's examples assume you have a late-series Cato around, which makes me ambivalent, as with the *attitude* itself I couldn't agree more...1/

This is where a few 100k's of targeted online ads and a mass email/phone outreach "tell this to everybody you know who has ever been touched by cancer" would be a great use of resources for an hypothetical opposition party. via @alongcamejones.bsky.social

It's happening in multiple departments. They're also attacking mRNA fax science which is the heart of the possible breakthrough.

I live in a country where "remove civilian leadership to protect the country" led to atrocities, but the US is currently at the point where "assume civilian leadership is an adversarial asset and firewall around them" is the professionally unavoidable assessment. via @willjennings.bsky.social

/waves flag enthusiastically while pointing at this "If it's not monetizable it's not art" is a ghoul's creed. Some of the most beautiful, most *Impactful* things I've ever read have been fics, and, money aside, I've gotten as much pleasure writing them as any professional author from their work.

It’s creative work, creative expression. That it isn’t being done as part of commerce does not mean it’s valueless
